Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
Refund eligibility depends on the project stage, completed work, approved milestones and non-recoverable third-party expenses. A project-specific written proposal, agreement or invoice may set out additional or different terms for a specific engagement, and that document controls where it conflicts with this general policy.
Project-Specific Proposal Controls
Where a written proposal, agreement or invoice includes project-specific refund or cancellation terms, those terms apply instead of the general guidance below.
Cancellation Before Work Starts
If a project is cancelled before any design or development work has begun, this is reviewed on a case-by-case basis according to the applicable proposal.
Cancellation After Work Starts
If a project is cancelled after work has begun, fees for work already completed are generally not refundable. Any remaining refund eligibility depends on the stage of the project.
Completed Work
Refunds are not provided for milestones or deliverables that have already been completed and approved.
Approved Milestones
Once a milestone has been reviewed and approved by the client, that portion of the project is considered complete for refund purposes.
Third-Party Costs
Third-party purchases made on the client's behalf may be non-refundable according to the provider's own terms. This includes items such as domain registrations, hosting plans, themes, plugins and software subscriptions.
Domain and Hosting Purchases
Domain names and hosting plans are typically non-refundable once purchased, in line with the domain registrar's or hosting provider's policy.
Themes, Plugins and Software Licenses
Purchased themes, plugins and software licenses are generally non-refundable once activated, in line with the vendor's own terms.
Payment-Processing Charges
Payment-processing charges incurred on a transaction are generally not refundable, even where a partial refund is issued.
Custom Work
Custom development, custom design and other bespoke work completed according to an approved scope is generally not refundable once delivered.
Delay Caused by Missing Client Content
If a project is delayed because required content, feedback or approvals are not provided by the client, this delay does not create refund eligibility for work already scheduled or completed.
Project Inactivity
Projects that remain inactive for an extended period due to lack of client response may be paused or closed. Refund eligibility in this case depends on the work completed at the time of inactivity.
Refund-Request Process
To request a refund review, contact us with your project details and reason for the request.
Review and Response
We will review each refund request individually based on project stage and completed work. We do not promise a fixed refund timeline unless one has been separately agreed in writing.
